Due to a wide variety of reasons, largest being tariffs , we’re not getting any raises this year, n or bonuses, nor any more help with a hiring freeze. I can’t take this shit anymore. I’m applying for jobs that I am woefully under-qualified for, because fuck it, why not.

My motto when job searching.

I was working with a lady last week who said, “I’m in the industry, so I have lots of shoes.” As if I would understand. My wife said later , oh she meant the restaurant industry of course. And I’m like... that makes no sense at all. I’m pretty sure this lady was not bussing tables or managing the floor at the c asino.

Good luck! Job searching sucks. Hopefully things go faster for you than the 3 month wait I had between application and first interview.

I have concerns we work for the same company... Expert our problems are 100% man made and not actually problems.

I’m in a related situation. I just left a really easy job with a hugely flexible schedule that paid decent and that I was good at, because new state and federal government regulations on the horizon are not going to mean good things for the company/industry and I didn’t want to go down with the ship.
Unfortunately, I’ve landed at a job that, while it pays a lot more, has way more stress/aggravation/responsibility, a rigid schedule that blocks me from taking vacation when I want to, and a 2 hour round trip commute. Also, I don’t think I’m totally qualified for it, and I sense that it is going to be a serious, serious learning curve to become competent and comfortable.
Also, the on boarding has been chaotically horrible, getting scheduled to be in two different places for training on the same day, 2 hours apart, new trainings suddenly getting stuck on my calendar on top of ones that were already there , getting stuff sent to me for decision before I’ve had any training on the policies and subject matter at hand, trainers that seem to be making it up as they go, etc.
So, 2 months in, I’m back to sending out resumes, which freaking sucks, because we all know the vast majority just get lost in applicant tracking systems with no response, ever. This mistake could take a long time to fix.

He was right. I am getting tired of all the winning.
